Luke Perry has passed away of a stroke.
Born on October 11 1966, Perry had been well known as Dylan in Beverly Hills 90210 and most recently as Fred Andrews in Riverdale.
There is a curio for Doctor Who fans as he had a brief turn as Inspector Spacetime, a parody of the Doctor, in Community 4.3 Conventions of Space and Time.

The episode which came in 2013 had incidentally guest starred future companion Matt Lucas.
Perry is of note to Buffy fans as he had played Pike in the original Buffy movie in 1992, which was made and released whilst in his early years as Dylan in Beverly Hills 90210.
Other work included Voyagers!, The Simpsons as himself and as Krusty’s half-brother, The Fifth Element, The Incredible Hulk, Jeremiah as the title character, Leverage & Body of Proof.
He died on March 4 2019 at the age of 52.
