Kirstie Alley has passed away.
Born on January 12 1951, Alley was the first actress to play Saavik when the character made her debut in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
She however did not reprise Saavik in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home when she was played in both those movies by Robin Curtis.
Outside of Star Trek her work included Quark, She's Having a Baby, the Look Who's Talking movies, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Blonde, Scream Queens & The Goldbergs.
She died on December 5 2022 over a month before her 72nd birthday.
