A Whoniverse contributor curio for each of the three Once Upon A Time episodes that was on 7TWO yesterday. The special recap episode The Price of Magic was narrated by Alan Dale (who plays King George in the series).
2.19 Lacey guest starred Tom Ellis and he plays Robin Hood.
2.20 The Evil Queen was co-written by Jane Espenson and directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton. For the latter this is not the first time that she has directed a TV episode that was written or co-written by the former as Gwyneth Horder-Payton had directed the Torchwood: Miracle Day episodes Immortal Sins & End of the Road both of which were written or co-written by Jane Espenson.

Recently saw the TV movies Meet The Santas (2005) and A Bride for Christmas (2012) both of which featured a runaway bride and a wedding at Christmas. This made me think of Doctor Who: The Runaway Bride, the 2006 Christmas Special. Like the aforementioned TV movies it had a wedding at Christmas but despite what it says in the title the bride Donna didn’t actually run away. She was simply taken away and placed in the TARDIS.

The Dexter season 6 finale This Is The Way the World Ends which featured an attempted sacrifice at the eclipse of the sun and this made me think of Doctor Who: The Aztecs as that too had sacrifices at the eclipse of the sun and notwithstanding it was based on writer John Lucarotti’s research into the Aztec culture.

So far seen the first three episodes of Broadchurch. The first two was directed by James Strong who directed Broadchurch star David Tennant before when Tennant played the Doctor in Doctor Who. Strong also directed two Torchwood episodes the first of which was Cyberwoman written by Broadchurch creator and writer of the said Broadchurch episodes Chris Chibnall.
Broadchurch episode 3 was the first to be directed in the series by Euros Lyn who also previously directed Tennant on Doctor Who.

The Scarifyers
The Thirteen Hallows: Eighth story. Featuring Gareth David-Lloyd as a 1400 year old knight Glewlwyd Gafaelfawr but I have to admit I didn’t recognise his voice with this role. Very fun story this time involving the King Arthur legend and the revelation of who Mr Merriman turned out to be plus some intrigue from the villains of this story.
